Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding athletes. As an U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the sole gymnast who won four gold medals in one Games at the 2016 Olympics. Biles was also the first to hold three consecutive world championships. Biles was raised within Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. Biles and her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics at age six during a day-care field trip at Bannon's Gymnastix and remained there for 11 years, under the direction of her trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles, who won gold and bronze medals at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 on the floor and vault prior to her first appearance in 2011 at the top category of competition. In just two years, she dominated this discipline. Biles's consistent, exuberant character and her high level of challenge in her four events -vault uneven bars, balance beam floor workout and floor exercise -- made her above the others.
